By now, you all know that the monsters came first, but where did the Frips come from? I had this great pink chenille fabric that I just wasn’t sure what to do with. The only thing that made sense to me was to somehow fashion a pig. Pigs are round, and their two distinguishing features are their snout and tail... and so Rosey was born. I realized that I could use a similar format to create other animals and soon Eleanor the elephant followed, then Cleo the cat, Pup the dog,  etc. Today there are 21 different animals in the Frips family.
