Fripperies began as a project with my kids. As a family we would sit down and draw shapes, trace them onto fabric, cut them out and decorate them. We were making little monsters to scare the real ones away! It was a lot of fun. Pretty soon I was perusing fabric stores and my brain began to swim with things I could make. The first Frippery was born in April of 2005. She was a pink pig named Rosey.  Then things just exploded and evolved into what you see on this site.

The thought or rather, motivation behind Fripperies is to spread joy. I love making them. I have adopted the belief that all of us have one or many things we are good at and we should do those things. This happens to be what I do well. Because I enjoy making these guys so much, I think it comes out and shows in every piece.

And so it begins...
